Program in Data Science for Global Health (DSGH)
The DSGH program applies data science to improve the practice of medicine, the delivery of care, and the development of health policies locally and worldwide. Major efforts include developing tools for resource-constrained settings; advancing equity in health care delivery; and educating students and researchers on informatics best-practices, health care delivery, and responsible practice of medicine. The Program is hosted at the Lab of Computer Science at MGH.

Projects
I2b2-stack for Global South: To address the shortage of skilled resources and computational power in LMICs, we are developing a stack of the i2b2 platform that is resilient to lack of expertise and hardware constraints. This involves simplifying the process of deployment, data-loading and also hardening the security.
Visiting Scholars program: This program hosts scholars sponsored by Govt. of Taiwan to undergo training in health informatics, where the scholars can do didactic courses at Harvard and MIT, and get practical experience in projects at LCS.
